healthconceptsltd is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Providence, RI
Health Concepts, Ltd., the management company for six skilled nursing facilities in Rhode Island, is looking for the right candidate to work at the corporate level to assist the nursing homes with the collection of patient claims that are rejected, denied, unpaid or paid incorrectly by the providers and individuals.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Ensure all claims are collected timely and follow up on unpaid claims
- Liaison with attorney for collection of unpaid balances from private parties
- Identify and follow procedures to file probate claims
- Research and work with 3rd party providers to adjust claims for proper payment
- Escalate the claims and follow the procedures set forth by the provider
- Work closely with the bookkeeper at each nursing home facility in regards to outstanding balances
- Review Medicaid claims paid for discrepancies in RUGs
Essential Qualifications
- 2-3 years nursing home and third-party billing experience (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, and resolve payer denials
- Understanding of RUG’s
Other Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
- Proficient in Excel
- Proven organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of Matrix software a plus
