HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner - Nephrology to fill an opening with a leading Nephrology Clinic in the Cookeville, TN area.
Daily Responsibilities for the Nurse Practitioner - Nephrology
- Deliver primary healthcare to individuals spanning from 18 years old to the elderly
- Perform thorough physical examinations and health evaluations
- Identify and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions
- Create personalized treatment strategies and put them into action
- Authorize medication prescriptions and request diagnostic evaluations when necessary
- Work alongside fellow healthcare providers to ensure cohesive patient management
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding preventative healthcare practices and the management of illnesses
- Keep precise and current medical documentation
- SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Must be willing to participate in weekend call at the hospital once a month
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in nephrology, primary care or internal medicine
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Nephrology Experience
