Medical Biller Job Description:

• Review Physician Notes and assign appropriate ICDs & CPTs.
• Strong knowledge of modifiers utilization.
• Create and transmit claims via electronic and paper claims.
• Ensure secondary billing is complete.
• Create and mail out patient statements.
• Analyze EOBs to ensure correct and full payments.
• Investigate and handle unpaid claims within filing deadlines.
• Appeal denied claims in a timely manner.
• Respond timely to correspondences and inquiries from payers.
• Review aging reports.
• Post payments and verify EFTs.
• Collect insurance and patient past due payments.
• Verify benefits and eligibility, and answer billing inquiries.

Medical Biller Job Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a medical biller/coder is a must.
• Hands-on experience with medical billing software.
