Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Clinic Operations is responsible for direct communication with all physician practice managers and functions as the liaison between the practices and other administrative functions. This resource must exhibit a positive demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and effective training skills and be professional in both appearance and approach.
Essential Functions:
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, standard office equipment, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to simultaneously manage several projects and to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Must demonstrate a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills, and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to accomplish tasks that require attention to detail, individual judgment, and adherence to confidentiality guidelines.
  • Effectively working and cooperating with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
  • Following the directions of supervisors.
  • Refraining from causing or contributing to disruption in the workplace.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Functional Accountabilities:
  • Hire all Practice Managers and facilitate training on all TPG and HPI administrative processes.
  • Work with the Practice Managers as it relates to all areas of management including but not limited to accounting, IT, HR, credentialing, and contracting.
  • Work directly with physicians on all practice related issues.
  • Work with Practice Managers on continually evaluating overhead in the clinics and tracking overhead percentages over time.
  • Be involved with Practice Managers as it relates to all hiring and terminations communicating at all times with HR.
  • Work with Accounting on reviewing all physician end-of-month financial packets to ensure proper allocation of all expenses.
  • Work with Accounting monitoring all physician net deficits each month in relation to the monitoring of physician draws.
  • Have quarterly Practice Managers meetings providing updates in all areas of administration.
  • Monitor physician stats such as charges, collections, net income, and overhead tracking and trending this information over time and communicating this information with the physicians.
  • Work with the Physician Liaison/Auditor on coordinating meetings and presenting information to physicians.
  • Responsible for transition process of all new physicians into TPG.
  • Serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer for TPG.

  • Reports to: Chief Development Officer & Senior VP, Clinic Operations
  • Supervises: Practice Managers
Qualifications:
  • Business Degree Required
  • Requires at least 5 years experience in practice management with extensive knowledge of the billing and financial aspects of practices.
  • Must have a valid license to drive.
Required Physical Demands:
  • Strength (Lift, Carry, Push, Pull): Sedentary; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
  • Standing/Walking: Occasionally; activity exists up to 1/3 of the time
  • Keyboard/Dexterity: Frequently;
    activity exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
  • Talking: Yes; must be able to effectively communicate verbally
  • Seeing: Yes
  • Hearing: Yes

  • Driving: Yes
Environmental Conditions:
Level: High
Hazards will be minimized if universal safety procedures are followed. Must follow standard precautions. Heavy work volume and high degree of accuracy required. May be required to work extended hours to meet critical deadlines. Travel may be required. Exposed to weather conditions during travel.
