Health, Department of is Hiring a Head Housekeeper - 31001 Near Jamaica, NY
1. Four years work experience in a fully functioning housekeeping department in a health care or institutional setting, one year of which must have included administrative or supervisory work experience*; Or 2. an Executive Housekeepers Certificate issued by the International Housekeepers Association, Inc.
As a Head Housekeeper, you would be responsible for the administration of a housekeeping program and the supervision and training of staff in the cleaning and care of a facility. You may be in charge of hiring employees, planning work schedules, preparing your departments' budget, writing reports, maintaining inventories, and ordering supplies. In addition you would maintain a building inspection program in order to make certain that cleaning activities are being carried out at a satisfactory level.
