Job Summary 

The Environmental Service Manager leads all aspects of operations while maintaining theestablished quality standard, safe operation and complete regulatory complianceby training, supervising, evaluating, and motivating assigned personnel intheir work.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Environmental Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the campus is kept clean and safefor our residence, visitors and employee’s and will adhere to current Federal,State, and local standards, as well as safety guidelines and regulationsaccording to the CDC.

• Establishes and annually reviews standards andwork procedures for all staff.

• Plans work and staffing schedules and areas ofwork to ensure adequate services are rendered.

• Assist in the hiring process; interview, hiringand training of new associates.

• Orients, develops and supervises allSupervisory/Housekeeping staff.

• Conducts regular inspections and makesrecommendations of corrections needs to housekeeping staffing.

• Provides staff education and continuoustraining.

• Communicates with staff and departmentdirector.

• Performs the duties of the workers theysupervise if needed.

• Ensure all room readiness for admissions.

• Communicate policy and procedures and useguidelines that are in the handbook.

• Resolve and responds to employee and customerissues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 3 years of Housekeeping, and/or FacilitiesMaintenance experience in department supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively in writtenformat or oral presentation.
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities.
• Ability to maintain organization in a changingand stressful environment.
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility,and leadership.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to see, hear, and communicate adequately to complete all job duties and responsibilities.
• Able to be on feet standing or walking 8 hours per day.
• Able to carry out fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
• Able to lift and position supplies weighing 50 pounds as needed by job.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, and lift numerous times during the day without fatigue or problem.
