SUMMARY

The primary function of the Roofing Superintendent will be to supervise and monitor multiple residential or commercial roofing projects at a time. They will work directly with the Residential/Commercial Roofing Project Manager on all aspects related to projects in production. They will supervise and direct multiple installation crews to ensure timely completion of projects and quality work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of multiple production crews including any issues that may arise.

· Must be able to oversee and train individuals in roofing system installation

· Ability to understand construction schedules and recognize the importance of staying on schedule.

· Must be responsibility for installing roofing systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost-effective manner.

· Experience with adhered and mechanically fastened single-ply roof systems

· Knowledge of tools and equipment

· Good communication skills are a must

· Computer/smart phone knowledge/familiarity

· Safety awareness and best practices within the roofing industry according to OSHA standards

· Experience with pre-construction meetings and coordinating projects with Project Manager

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Excellent knowledge of roofing techniques and materials

· Outstanding communication skills

· Proven ability to work under minimal direct supervision

· Possess a thorough knowledge of roofing legal issues and safety standards

· Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Self-motivated; ability to work independently but in a team environment

· Ability to work flexible hours to meet client’s needs

• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean MVR and background
• Must be able to travel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift to 50lbs.
• Must be able to climb on a ladder
• Must be willing to walk on a roof

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
