Job Description:
1. Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
2. Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
3. Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications.
4. Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
5. Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
6. Measure the dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
7. Check arriving materials to ensure that they match purchase orders and submit discrepancy reports when problems are found.
8. Compute defect percentages or averages, using formulas and calculators, and prepare reports of inspection or test findings.
9. To monitor Welder performance and conduct visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with Company procedures and international codes of practice.
10. To conduct fit-up and dimension inspections as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and to provide technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control.
11. To check and inspect surface condition and paint procedure.
12. To conduct and inspect the Final Assembly and Disassembly.
13. To check each cable, pads & bolts are properly installed on accessories.
14. Verify the quantity of internal/external connection hardware and size/length/type.
15. Bushing visual inspection & position of bushing oil level indicator.
16. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. High school Diploma
2. 1~3 years of inspecting experience in final assembly or fabrication shops
3. Experience in using measuring equipment and instruments.
4. Ability to read and interpret work specifications and drawings
5. Strong interpersonal skills for building excellent team relationships
6. Knowledge of computers, including MS Office.
