Job Summary and Qualifications

The EKG Technician will assume responsibility for completing EKG’s, application of Holter monitors, scanning of the 24 hour Holter monitor.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting co-workers in completing daily assignments and prepare reports for Cardiologists.
• Completing electrocardiograms
• Assisting with transporting patients to and from the department to enhance patient satisfaction
• Assisting with stress testing

What qualifications you will need:

• Dysrhythmia certification within six months of entering position.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• 12 lead EKG, Monitor Bank, MA or PCT experience is preferred.
