Job Summary and Qualifications

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for managing the payment and processing of approved payment vouchers in accordance with the hospital and company policy. Additionally, you will be required to research outstanding invoices or open purchase orders, reconcile specific vendor accounts, and perform other duties as needed. You will also ensure the smooth and accurate processing of payables for the hospital.

• You will code invoices with proper GL distribution to ensure accurate representation of departmental expenses in accordance with policies and procedures.
• You will prepare monthly accruals in an accurate and timely fashion, as well as keypunch journal entries upon approval by the supervisor or Controller.

• You will perform Smart A/P day-end and month-end functions for interfacing Materials Management entries and automatic accruals to the General Ledger.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
