HBS Default is Hiring a Medicaid Recovery Specialist Near Atlanta, GA

The Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., a full-service law firm with over 300 attorneys and 30 offices located throughout the country, is currently accepting resumes for a Medicaid Recovery Specialist position. This position will be responsible for assisting clients with general Medicaid questions and issues – especially those related to eligibility. A resume and cover letter are required for consideration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential functions” are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer. 

Assists long term care facilities and other health care provider clients with issues related to Medicaid generally.

Educate providers regarding Medicaid policies in Georgia.

Work with various entities within the Medicaid system to resolve issues and concerns related to Medicaid payments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Associate degree or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience in Medicaid eligibility and regulations.

Experience in the business office of a long-term care facility or for a state’s Medicaid office a plus.

Demonstrated organizational, prioritization and attention to detail skills to allow for timely, effective and accurate performance of job duties. 

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, staff and clients and to provide or obtain information with ordinary courtesy, diplomacy and tact. 

Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in confidential matters. 

Proofread accurately, efficiently and dependably. 

Take initiative and work independently. 

Arrive ready to work at scheduled time; maintain regular, prompt attendance with unexpected absences being rare. 

Work requires sitting, bending, stooping, keyboarding and use of the hands and may require lifting of 25 – 50 lbs. Position may require driving on behalf of the firm; therefore, a valid driver's license is necessary.
