Summary:
The Retirement Plan Services Unit Manager will work with a multi-disciplinary team both acquiring and servicing qualified retirement plan clients in the northeast corridor (between Philadelphia and the New York City metro markets). This individual provides advice and consulting to the firm's corporate and nonprofit clients sponsoring qualified retirement plans such as 401(k)s or 403(b)s.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred.
  • 7 years of experience as a financial services professional providing service and advice to qualified retirement plan clients sponsoring defined contribution plans such as 401(k)s or 403(b)s.
  • Series 7, 63 & 65, or 66 and insurance licenses required.
  • Industry-related professional designations such as CFP®, CRPS®, AIFA®, AIF® QKA, etc. are attractive.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills required.
  • Must be highly motivated and have a strong desire to succeed.
Responsibilities:
  • This person can be based anywhere between Philadelphia and NYC, with travel to our offices throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York to meet with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help lead efforts to service the firm's corporate clients by sponsoring qualified retirement plans such as 401(k)s and 403(b)s on a national basis.
  • Work closely with the firm's financial advisors at HBKS Wealth Advisors and our partners and colleagues at HBK CPAs and Consultants to identify prospective clients and attract new clients and business to the HBKS Retirement Plan Services Unit.
  • Lead the case analysis process and the development of proposals for new client opportunities.
  • Present fiduciary investment services proposals to prospective qualified retirement plan clients.
  • Supervise the day-to-day servicing of the firm's existing clients, answer questions posed by retirement plan sponsors, respond to retirement plan participant inquiries, schedule client meetings, annual reviews and employee education and counseling.
  • Supervise and approve the production of quarterly investment monitoring and due diligence reports for HBKS' qualified retirement plan clients.
  • Attend and lead periodic trustee review meetings with the firm's corporate clients sponsoring qualified retirement plans as part of our ongoing service model.
  • Lead periodic employee education workshops on a regional basis for participants of HBKS' qualified retirement plans.
  • Periodically assist with one-on-one counseling for participants of the firm's defined contribution plan clients.
  • Interact regularly with other service providers working with clients sponsoring retirement plans such as recordkeeping firms, third-party administrators, accounting firms, etc.
  • Interact and work with other HBKS Wealth Advisors team members around the firm providing various services to the firm's corporate clients sponsoring qualified retirement plans.
  • Sit on the Retirement Plan Services Units Investment Committee which provides investment advice to the firm's corporate clients sponsoring qualified retirement plans.
