SUMMARY

The Asset Management Trading Assistant will assist the Asset Management Trading Specialist and Chief Investment Officer in the trading, rebalancing, and investment operations of HBKS Wealth Advisors. In this capacity, the Trading Assistant primarily utilizes the Tamarac trading and rebalancing software. Trading Assistants must be very detail-oriented and can work under tight time constraints. The Trading Assistant works under the direction of the Chief Investment Officer.

Every individual is an employee of HBKS Wealth Management and is expected to act in the best interests of the firm, even if doing so requires actions or responsibilities not listed in the job description below. The essential functions of this position are:

• Support the decisions made by the CIO, COO, and Principals of the Firm.
• Take day-to-day direction from the firm’s Trading Specialist and Chief Investment Officer.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with all the Firm’s Advisors and co-workers.
• Primary responsibility for assisting in the Trading of the HBKS Asset Management Group, including trading, rebalancing, and investment research functions within the HBKS Asset Management Group.
• Displays a high degree of technical and professional competence.
• Be familiar with Tamarac, Morningstar, FactSet, and Excel.
• Serve as a resource on all investment trading issues for all Financial Advisors.

• Ability to ensure coverage of other duties of the Asset Management Group, including trading of funds not on the rebalancing system and completing investment management proposals.

• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Distributes various communication and rebalancing tools to Advisors.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and firm business.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to the firm.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Follow firm procedures and comply with policies as outlined in the Human Resource Manual.

• Place the interests of clients above their own personal interests.
• Exercise independent professional judgement when making recommendations.
