JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY: The Consumer Lending Risk Specialist is responsible for assisting in the ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive compliance and risk program for Consumer Lending. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in monitoring the compliance function and Key Risk Indicators. Monitors and tests to safeguard against systemic issues and ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations and guidance, Bank policy, and procedures. Monitors the effectiveness of controls in place in current policy and procedures to protect Consumer Lending against criminal and fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure. Evaluates, tests and reports that practices in the workplace and relevant systems agree with controls in policy and procedure. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: High School Diploma 1-3 years of consumer lending risk experience ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
