JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY: The Commercial Finance Collateral Support Specialist provides originations and existing client support related to file maintenance and reporting, securing and maintaining security interests in equipment financed, terminations and insurance related requirements. This position works directly with internal and external clients, and is responsible for overseeing routine and non-routine administrative, operations, and/or services support tasks by ensuring service standards, policies, procedures are adhered to and client needs are met. Serves as a subject matter expert for all Collateral Support Services (“CSS”) functions and is responsible for training CSS Specialists. Serves as first point of contact for client escalations, provides backup and coverage for the Operations Manager. Incumbent is responsible for providing collateral processing support, administering defined procedures, preparing collateral related documentation, scanning and indexing, analysis, report preparation, and exception processing. This role will handle basic to complex administrative activities, and will be cross trained and able to support multiple functions within CSS (e.g. terminations, titles, insurance, legal support). Must be able to operate independently and make appropriate decisions within defined authority. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates all activities related to maintaining insurance, UCC Filings, and vehicle titling on existing loans and leases. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and transaction documentation requirements. Obtains updated insurance certificates, monitors and continues UCC filings, modifies and releases vehicle titles. Utilizes and updates various data systems for recording and tracking purposes. Provides insurance, title and UCC support as needed to the Documentation Team for new transactions. Ensures compliance with policies, credit requirements, and transaction documentation terms and conditions. Prepares necessary paper work and completes collateral releases on terminated transactions. Supports filing and scanning activities for new transactions and modifications to existing transactions. Generates job specific reports and monitor them for updates and accuracy. Monitors workflow and works with Operations Manager to realign resources to meet service level objectives and improve performance. Recommends actions to be taken outstanding and escalates issues requiring management and legal attention. Trains and provides support to CSS Specialists. Leads and participates in team and cross functional projects. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: 1 year experience supporting activities related to maintaining insurance, UCC Filings, and vehicle titling on existing loans and leases. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting will be accepted in lieu of experience. Knowledge of corporate loan processes, documentation, operations and basic loan accounting is preferred Required: Basic knowledge of accounting and or documentation processes; Proficiency with MS Office applications. Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
