HB Consultants is Hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer Near Denver, CO
In this influential role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing and enhancing processes within the organization. Your responsibilities will include problem-solving, auditing, procedure development, measurement systems management, SPC, and Six Sigma implementation. A solid grasp of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard is required to guide colleagues towards achieving company objectives effectively. Reporting to the Director of Technical & Quality Systems, you may also manage Quality Technicians as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet Quality Objectives
- Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard
- Oversee Document Control and revision management
- Conduct internal procedural and process audits
- Participate in External Audits
- Lead Corrective and Preventive Action initiatives
- Manage Calibration and MSA of measuring and monitoring systems
- Handle daily product quality reviews and reporting
- Coordinate weekend coverage for the Quality Department
- Provide necessary training to personnel
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned
- Proficiency and experience with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard
- Capability to elevate the QMS to meet specified standards
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required
- Six Sigma Black Belt or CQE certification is preferred
- A degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred
- 2 years of experience as a quality or process engineer in a manufacturing setting
- Background in heavy manufacturing industry is highly valued
- Proficient in SPC, MSA, Auditing, and Calibration
- Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, Kaizen, SMED, and other lean tools is a plus
- Ability to comprehend and develop technical procedures
- Experience in developing new or updated procedures
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills required
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities
- Proficient in presenting information coherently to various organizational levels and customers
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
