Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is Hiring a Psychologist Near Paul, MN

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring mental health needs of patients. Treatment of patients will involve assessment (may potentially include testing) and therapy, with patients who present with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses. Additional duties involve participation as a member of a multidisciplinary team, crisis intervention, provision of supervision to trainees and staff seeking licensure and ongoing care planning. 

  • Provide mental health assessment, ensuring proper identification of mental health and substance use concerns, as well as barriers to recovery and stability
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy utilizing evidence-based intervention strategies and best practices
  • Provide mental health consultation and information in order to educate patients, customers, and staff members regarding the dynamics of mental health issues in recovery. Seek and receive consultation from others in order to provide comprehensive care
  • Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients
  • Provide supervision to trainees and staff seeking licensure

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or similar

  • Licensed Psychologist in the state you are currently practicing

  • Experience in psychological assessment

  • Strong skills in differential diagnosis

  • Experience in individual and group therapy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years working in the mental health and chemical dependency field

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment

  • Experience working with clients with substance use disorders

  • Willingness to be licensed in other states

  • Spanish fluency
