Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as Sales Manager. This position is ideal for those who have experience in sales and a strong background in the hospitality industry. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in driving our restaurant's growth by securing new business and nurturing existing relationships. They will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of special events, leveraging their industry knowledge and relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit, negotiate, and secure new business by building relationships with concierges, meeting planners, industry professionals, and through participation in industry events, conventions, and meetings.
  • Maintain, utilize, and enhance a local area book of business to facilitate special event bookings and sales.
  • Provide prompt follow-up on guest feedback to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
  • Generate “thank you” notes to clients after functions to encourage future engagements.
  • Maintain continual communication with guests about important dates and deadlines, ensuring the restaurant team is informed and prepared to execute successful events (including pricing, cut-off dates, introductions, payment authorization, menu detailing, guarantees, etc.).
  • Handle incoming phone and web inquiries from clients efficiently and professionally.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts for clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with both client expectations and restaurant capabilities.
  • Follow up with clients during and after events to ensure satisfaction and address any feedback.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant sales or a similar position in this market is required.
  • Experience using Tripleseat or similar sales software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite is necessary.
  • Familiarity with OpenTable or similar booking software is preferred.
  • Proven experience in negotiating pricing within restaurant guidelines.
  • A solid understanding of food and beverage is a plus.
