The Talent Selection and Onboarding Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the right individuals are hired for our organization's needs. Leading strategic talent acquisition initiatives, this role focuses on researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies tailored to attract a diverse pool of highly qualified and capable candidates. From conducting initial intake meetings with hiring managers to coordinating offers, the Talent Selection and Onboarding manager oversees the full recruitment cycle with a discerning focus on finding the perfect fit for our company. This position will report to the Human Resources Director.

Talent Selection and Onboarding Manager Essential Job Functions:
  • Strategic Recruitment Management: Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the recruitment process, including initial intake meetings with hiring managers. Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned requisitions. Source candidates through various channels. Conduct telephone screening and coordinate interviews. Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment methods and strategies based on feedback and metrics analysis.
  • Candidate Screening and Selection: Screen applications and select qualified candidates. Schedule and facilitate interviews, ensuring preparation of relevant materials and questions. Assist in conducting interviews with stakeholders and hiring managers.
  • Talent Pipeline Development: Proactively source candidates using innovative recruitment tools. Review and refine recruitment strategies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Offer Management and Compliance: Collaborate on offer details, including salary ranges and start dates. Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Create and manage offer packages, including overseeing background checks and testing requirements.
  • Onboarding and Support: Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientations and training sessions. Prepare offer letters and onboarding paperwork. Monitor and ensure completion of onboarding tasks by new hires. Communicate onboarding information to new hires and managers, ensuring a positive experience.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse sourcing strategies, including social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required, with a demonstrated ability to utilize these tools effectively.
  • Experience with the Paycor Recruiting platform is a plus.
  • SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
