Hayes Day School, located in Millbrook, NY is seeking compassionate and dependable Teacher Aides to work with K-12^th grade students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Teacher Aide, you will assist teachers and students in all aspects of management and instructional programming in a beautiful school setting with a state of the art sensory integration program.
Schedule: Full-Time, M-F 8:30-3:30 following the Millbrook school calendar (September through June); plus a 6-week summer session (July through mid-August)

What you'll do as the Teacher Aide:

• Supervise/assist students in independent, small group or large group activities (in and outside of classroom)
• Create/modify instructional materials
• Assist students with physical needs
• Observe and record student behaviors and progress
• Facilitate social interaction among students
• Help build students’ self-esteem
• Help with student behaviors in accordance with Behavior Intervention plan

What's required of you:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Experience working with children with special needs is preferred

Pay: $15.03 / hour
