We are currently seeking a candidate to fulfill the open position as a Service Writer at our Villa Ridge, Missouri location.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Positively take ownership of the customer experience with Hayden Machinery.
• Assist Service team with work order progress from open to close, including:
  • Cost management.
  • Purchase order reconciliation.
  • Ensure all parts are accurately applied to work orders.
  • Writing accurate and easy to understand work order descriptions.
  • Prepare warranty claim tickets.
  • Closing work orders in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Service Manager and Warranty Writer on outstanding claim tracking.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work flow, determined by the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience as a heavy equipment service technician, service writer, or technical/mechanical background preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate computer skills including: typing, data entry, Microsoft/GSuite, email/text communication.

Physical Abilities/Requirements:

Able to work overtime, including evenings, occasional weekends, and on rare occasions, holidays. Able to stand for an extensive amount of time. Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Work is performed with frequent exposure to outside elements and seasonal environmental factors. Frequent stooping, bending and lifting occur. The majority of the time is spent walking or standing.

Travel for training may be required on occasion.
