We are currently seeking a candidate to fulfill the open position as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at our Springfield, Missouri location.

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our company. You will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and resolving payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Positively take ownership of the customer experience with Hayden Machinery.
• Work daily with the Controller on accounting related duties.
• Closing out sales, bank deposits, and monthly sales tax returns.
• Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and implement collection strategies to ensure timely payment.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and billing issues.
• Work closely with internal teams to address customer inquiries and resolve disputes.
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, or other irregularities.
• Prepare reports detailing accounts receivable status and aging analysis for management review.
• Assist with month-end close processes as needed.
• Flexibility in work type and duties. Working well as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finances, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, Accounts Receivable Specialist, or similar role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software required (experience with CDK is a plus)
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Physical Abilities/Requirements :

This position involves prolonged use of computers and other electronic devices for data entry, analysis, and reporting. Candidates should be comfortable sitting for extended periods and using a computer, keyboard and mouse. Candidates should have the ability to move comfortably and safely within the office environment to collaborate with colleagues or attend meetings.
