DISABILITIES)
ZELA DAVIS ANNEX
6-HOUR/10-MONTH POSITION
STARTING SALARY: RANGE 10 - $19.57-$21.60/Hour (Maximum of 2 years credit for work experience in
a public school district will be given)
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials and in the conduct of instructional
exercises.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
✓ Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (must submit copy), and must meet one of the following
requirements:
➢ have obtained an Associate’s (or higher) Degree (must submit copy)
➢ have completed at least 2 years (48 semester units) of study at an institution of higher education (must
submit copy)
➢ have met a rigorous standard of quality that demonstrates, through a formal academic assessment,
knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and math.
Persons interested in applying and being interviewed for the position of Special Education Instructional Aide
(Moderate/Severe Disabilities), must submit a completed Classified Employment Application form, a Supplemental
Application form, and required documentation to the Hawthorne School District Human Resources Office prior to 4:00
p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Examinations and oral interviews will be scheduled thereafter. Applications may be
