Hawthorne Inn of Lakeland is now hiring part-time Resident Aides and Med Techs 2n shift (2pm-10:30pm) that are committed to providing the best life and care for our residents. The basic role of the Resident Aide and Med Tech is to assist with residents activities of daily living in accordance with the established procedures and as directed by the Director of Wellness. Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse Aide by the State (Not required)
• Weekends will be required
• Med-Tech certification preferred (must provide at time of interview)
• High School Diploma or GED (must provide at time of interview)
• Valid Florida id or driver license (must provide at time of interview)
• Social Security Card or valid work permit (must provide at time of interview)

Experience:

• Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. Prior Resident Aide or hands on health care experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Must meet mandatory in-service hours by attending in-services provided by the facility
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
• Must be able to work as a team member
• Maintaining confidentiality of all resident & facility data
• Must be caring, kind and patient with a positive attitude
• Must have basic typing/computer skills

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Observing Residents
• Reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse
• Taking care of a resident's personal hygiene
• Setting up of meal trays
• Assisting residents & serving nutritional supplements
• Making beds & keeping the residents' space clean and tidy
• Transporting residents within the Facility
• Medication Management (only with an active certification, must provide at time of interview)
