Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front office duties at a hotel during the day or night. Their duties include helping guest’s check-in or check out, reviewing guest payments, and other details from the day shift to ensure guests provided payment for their stay or any additional requests and acting as point of communication for customer’s needs. They are also responsible for the security of the hotel and its guests overnight, and to set breakfast room up to standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor duties include, but are not limited to the following: Balancing the accounts from day shift Managing front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs Ensuring customer satisfaction by scheduling wake-up-calls and other concierge activities according to guest preference Handling customer requests and complaints in a friendly and timely manner Creating invoices, bills and checks for vendors, employees, and contractors Managing and updating all official documentation pertaining to the role Ensuring that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments Answering calls and queries related to potential booking Run the Night Audit Tour all areas of the hotel on a regular basis and report irregularities to front desk Be knowledgeable of all daily and weekly events in the hotel using event calendar so as to assist with the cleanup if needed Perform any related security duties that are necessary for safety of hotel and staff Ensure all access to the hotel is secure as required by hotel policy and procedure Complete all incident reports and give to front desk Ensure that guest areas, parking lot, hallways, and offices are clean and tidy and free of garbage/debris at all times Help set up for meeting space events or clean up after events Deliver sundries, linen, supplies, or items to guest rooms Help with light maintenance requests such as television fixes or ac checks Carry out any other requests made by the supervisor Attend meetings and training sessions when required Report all potential and real hazards Help with laundry if needed by washing, drying, folding linen Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises by fairly applying Hotel Regulations, by strict adherence to existing laws, statues and applicable ordinances and reporting any possible hazards and conditions to the Front Desk. Have a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department.
