The Technical Buyer is responsible for building a supplier network for direct and indirect material for production including standard parts, casting and machined components as well as production equipment, while maintaining relationships with suppliers, while continually researching and scouting for additional vendors.

What You Will Do:

Strategic & tactical procurement of inventory-managed materials in the field of hydraulic components for HAWE Manufacturing US
Shaping Procurement function during the ramp up of HAWE Manufacturing US while growing your career and responsibilities with the company
Development, support and implementation of procurement category strategies with focus on manufactured component parts (e.g. casting, milled and drilled parts, turned parts)
Be a collaborative part and major player of our global HAWE Procurement team
Assessment & localization of procurement parts to create “Made in the US” supply chains
Selecting & auditing suppliers, conducting negotiations and concluding contracts
Development of suppliers regarding quality, cost and delivery performance over the entire supplier & product life cycle
Support overall local procure-to-pay process and collaborate in the day-to-day procurement operations especially during the ramp up phase

What You Will Need:

Minimum 2 years of industry experience as a technical buyer for manufactured products and parts.
ERP system experience (strong preference to SAP)
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Excellent communication and negotiating skills while sustaining a professional representation of HAWE Manufacturing.
Resourceful and able to solve problems creatively.
Hands-on mentality with a professional demeanor.
Strong desire to work in a high performing team and the passion for building efficient processes.
Motivation to ramp up production operation with a high standard for quality and performance.

What We Would Prefer:

Minimum 5 years of industry experience as a buyer for manufactured parts
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
In-depth knowledge and experience with metallic casting and machined parts
Proven track record for supplier development and cost management
