The Human Resource Specialist provides support for basic administrative tasks for the Human Resource department.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

• Processes employment related personnel transactions, updates and maintains personnel files for all employees.

• Administrative duties - preparing various personnel statistical reports, personnel listings, update apprentice status, employee status etc.

• May provide interpretation of company personnel policies and procedures.

• Files weekly temporary employment claims for employees.

• Responds to general HR inquiries from managers and employees related to benefits, status changes and other general inquiries.

• Assists with new-hire orientations, open enrollment and various annual compliance tasks such as EEO/AA reporting

• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Knowledge & Skills Used:

• Knowledge of EEO regulations and employment practices

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and document management software.

• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive documents and information.

Required:

• High School Diploma

• 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources

Starting Salary: $60,000.00/yr.
