Haverhill NH Police Department is Hiring a Police Officer Near North Haverhill, NH

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties requested by their supervisor, a superior officer, or Chief of Police. External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, must be able to perform the essential duties (as listed) either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation, to be determined by management on a case-by-case basis.

Duties:
- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public order
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and make arrests when necessary
- Write detailed reports documenting incidents and activities
- Conduct traffic stops and issue citations for traffic violations
- Provide assistance and support to victims of crimes or accidents
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on joint operations or investigations
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to department policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

-Team Oriented

-Ability to work among diverse cultures

-Must be at least 21 years of age

-Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

-Possess a valid drivers license

-Be a US Citizen

-Pass a physical agility test

-Good communication skills
