Estate and Probate Paralegal

Our client, TrustWorks Law is seeking a meticulous and proactive Estate and Probate Paralegal to join our estate planning law firm in Plantation, Florida. TrustWorks provides comprehensive personalized estate planning services to help clients prepare for the future.

As a Paralegal, you will have substantial client contact as well as interaction with attorneys and court personnel. This position offers an excellent opportunity to assume significant responsibility and hands-on experience in a collaborative, sophisticated and team orientated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of probate pleadings (petitions, inventories, accountings final reports, etc)
  • Preparation of documents relating to the identification, collection, and valuation of assets
  • Fiduciary accounting and preparation of estate and gift tax returns.
  • Preparation of guardianship pleadings
  • Assist in signing appointments with clients
  • Print and organize estate planning documents for client signings.
  • Preparation of Estate Planning books, meticulously ensuring accuracy before and after signings.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned with dedication and professionalism.

Skills and Requirements:

  • NALA, Florida Registered Paralegal or Paralegal degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience performing described responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of the Florida Estate Planning Rules as well as the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Florida Statutes
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including familiarity with standard office software.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Adaptability in handling diverse tasks and responsibilities.
  • Profoundly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all endeavors.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a dedicated team member.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment efficiently, including scanner/copy/fax/postal machines and computers/printers.
