Havenwood of Burnsville is Hiring a Staffing Coordinator Near Burnsville, MN

Havenwood of Burnsville, a 135 apartment senior living community, is recruiting for Director of Health Services, RN. This role functions as the Director of all clinical functions within the community and is responsible for planning, organizing and developing all clinical service operations with the goal of delivering the highest degree of quality care for the community’s residents. 

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide Supervisor with a full range of administrative, programmatic and special project support in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Review tickler files each day, print off all items due and assist DOHS to organize and accomplish each task including employee training and resident requirements.

2. Create monthly DOHS calendar with all required elements.

3. Perform audits as directed by DOHS, and report audit results to DOHS and Executive Director.

4. Post notices for educational offerings.

5. Set up room for in-service meetings (i.e. seating arrangements, overhead projector, refreshments, coffee, etc.).

6. Ensure all education is documented properly. Coordinate with the Business Office Manager to ensure organized retention of training certificates.

7. Set up appointments for DOHS. 

8. Coordinate and update staffing/schedule as directed by DOHS. Also schedule candidate interviews and department orientation with DOHS.

9. Serve as primary administrative support person for the Director of Health Services.

10. Order office and medical supplies according to budget with approval of DOHS.

11. Create resident medical files and enter electronic health records information into system upon admission.

12. Coordinate internal and external correspondence and publications

13. Maintain the Assisted Living & Memory Care policy and procedure manuals

14. Provide computer support to the Assisted Living and Memory Care.

15. Ensure all aspects of Care Conferences are scheduled and logged accordingly.

16. Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

17. Participate in staffing phone on call rotation. 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

· Minimum one (1) year related experience as administrative assistant in a physician’s office or similar position supporting a clinical setting required.

· Minimum one (1) year working in assisted living or health care preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Certified as HHA/CNA/PCA/RA preferred

· Doctor’s statement verifying free from communicable disease, if applicable in your state

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proficiency in the English language enabling the employee to read, write, comprehend and communicate simple instructions, correspondence, memos, etc.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products

· Must demonstrate excellent telephone communication skills.

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Ability to compute simple math, including units of American money.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

· Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community

· Ability to multi-task, balance team and individual responsibilities, and respond promptly to resident and visitor needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting at $20.00 per hour 

Negotiable based on experience
