Overview 

We are looking for a highly efficient, experienced, and goal-oriented Accounting Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, startup environment. This is a tremendous growth opportunity reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting. Our ideal candidate has a high desire to deliver excellence and brings enthusiasm to your work and everything you do. 

What You’ll Do 

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

• Manage month-end financial close process (including schedules, proper review/maintenance of account reconciliation and accruals) 

• Maintain the general ledger and review monthly reconciliation schedules.

• Manage sales tax reporting and compliance.

• Directly oversee the Accounts Payable function. 

• Oversee all revenue sales channels including Sephora, Shopify, and wholesale. 

• Initiate processes and streamline existing processes for efficiency and to sustain future growth of the company. 

• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions. 

• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned. 

What We Are Looking For 

Must Have: 

• BA/BS in accounting or finance with proven experience as an Accounting Manager with 5 years of relevant experience.

• Direct experience with Accounting ERP systems such as Netsuite or any similar ERP 

• Ability to direct and supervise the work of the accounting team. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented with excellent follow-through abilities, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently work with internal departments while prioritizing workload. 

Nice to Have: 

• Inventory experience is a plus. 

• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is highly desirable. 

• Prior experience with Shopify, Expensify, any AP platform, &Sephora is a plus. 

• Public accounting experience a plus
