Accounts Payable is responsible for processing invoices, issuing payments to vendors/suppliers, maintaining accurate vendor records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Key duties include receiving and verifying invoices, preparing and executing payments (checks, EFTs, etc.), resolving discrepancies, maintaining organized records, preparing reports, liaising with vendors, and identifying process improvements. Collaboration with other departments like Purchasing and Accounting is essential for efficient operations and vendor relationship management.

Duties:

• Perform various accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Prepare and process payroll for hourly employees
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Assist with the preparation of 1099’s at year end

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Knowledgeable in of debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping is a plus.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
