Performs general production work involved in a food manufacturing environment. Adheres to standard labor methods, promotes safe work habits, and understands all quality practices to ensure that production is run efficiently and effectively by following safety and quality standards required by HFG.

Required Skills/Abilities/Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists with production line in manufacturing facility.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Promotes quality and safety standards/culture.
• Follows all GMP’s required by HFG.
• Notifies supervisor of any mechanical, ingredient, quality, and safety deficiencies.
• Follow instructions from supervisor’s / assistant supervisors.
• Follows and sustains CI program.
• Crossed training for multiple production assignments such as:
  • Packing
  • Loading line
  • Box Making / Labeling
  • Palletizing
  • Floor Sweeping / General Cleaning
  • Blending (utilizing pitchfork and buckets)
• Rotation on production lines as required.
• Other duties as assigned or required

Education and Experience:

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work within timelines and in pressure situations based on production needs.
• Available to work scheduled hours and weekends as needed.
• Able to stand, bend, climb up and down stairs for sustained periods of time, approximately 10-12 hours per day as required.
• Able to work in a refrigerated environment (32–36 degrees).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required for job functions.
