Harvard Partners, LLP is Hiring a Product Owner Near West Greenwich, RI

As the Product Owner, you will work with customers, end users, and the development team to make sure the product addresses user needs and aligns with the product strategy. You are the primary point of contact for customers ensuring that products deliver the maximum value to the user by analyzing their business processes, needs and requirements. You will develop a thorough knowledge of retailer management and optimization solutions, a suite of applications to manage relationships and interactions with existing and potential retailers. Reporting to the Product Director, Retailer Management & Optimization, your goal is to improve retailer relationships; assist in retailer retention; and drive sales growth. This role aslo includes enhancing existing products, creating new products, and being a key product champion for both internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with customers, end users, and the development team to make sure the product meets user needs and aligns with the product strategy
  • Define specific product features and break them into user stories
  • Writes user stories and ensure each story has the correct acceptance criteria
  • Gather, manage, and prioritize the product backlog
  • Work closely with engineering and quality assurance to ensure the right customer problem is solved. This can involve sharing market research and competitive analysis with the team to best focus their efforts.
  • Advocate on behalf of the customer for the development team
  • Evaluate the work done by the development team and provide constant feedback
  • Update FRDs, user guides, and other product documentation
  • Lead customer engagements: business process analyses, demo/config. workshops, re-occurring support mtgs.
  • Document customers' needs (gaps specs./BRs)
  • Track progress towards the release of a product
  • Contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Perform user acceptance testing of new features and functions.
  • Flexible to work within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid development model
  • Engage with customers at different levels to understand business needs, analyze, document, evaluate and prioritize the requirements and make recommendations on the solution.
  • Immerse in new business areas to gain domain expertise with proactive research and fast learning.
  • Evangelize the value of the products to our customers, grow adoption and utilization.
