As the MQ Architect, you will play a Key subject matter expert and leadership role in collaborating with Solutions Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, and Infrastructure Service Management teams in the architecture, design, and build of the IBM MQ messaging platform. Ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in MQ and RDQM cluster and its related components, and a self-motivated individual who works well with teams and independently with minimal supervision to achieve goals and project tasks.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Lead the deployment of the enterprise layout of the messaging platform as a blueprint
• Installation and configuration of the new platform
• Configuring or modifying the platform for optimization
• Proactively monitoring the health of environment (tuning, and/or troubleshooting)
• Configuring and managing the security of the platform.
• High level of motivation in learning new technologies and software products and reviewing these technologies for enhancements to the current middleware environment.
• Experience with Operations Management and IT standards, procedures, and policies
• Expert level experience of IBM MQ standard-alone as well as RDQM HA cluster setup and configuration
• Expert level experience with MQ horizontal/vertical Clustering
• Strong ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts / processes
• Understanding of business priorities (e.g., vision), trends (e.g., industry knowledge) and markets (e.g., existing/ planned)
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Strong ability for problem solving / analytical skills, tools and techniques
• Experience in troubleshooting MQ issues as well as other complex MQ and ACE issues
• Great knowledge with MQ monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace
• Knowledge and experience around automation (ansible is preferred)
• Knowledge around Cloud and RedHat OpenShift (OCP and CP4I preferred)
• Ability to drive and manage services vendor on production issues
• Adaptability and ability to introduce / manage change with ServiceNow and JARI
• SME on understanding of AIX/RedHat/Windows administration and including basic shell scripting
• Bachelors Degree (Computer Science, MIS, or related degrees).
