Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Building Principal and Activities Director, the Advisor is responsible for providing activity or club programs that instill cooperation, leadership, and direction to all interested students. The advisor develops the annual calendar, plans for the supervision of activities, and performs other duties directly related to this position description.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred not required
Evaluation:
The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the Evaluation of Staff.

Terms of Employment:
This is a Code 0, as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The term may be extended annually pending the review of school needs and the evaluation process.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this position include frequent sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Depending on the class/student assignment, the employee may occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds. Repetitive bending at the waist, kneeling, stooping, and crouching to assist students is also required. Employees may reach overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally.
