We are seeking a Marketing Communications Manager (hybrid, based in Elgin, Illinois) to meet sales and marketing objectives by delivering creative work and solutions across multiple mediums, including, but not limited to video, digital (email, social, display), events, presentations and internal/external communications, and to define and execute the thought leadership of the HARTING Americas CEO and senior executive team in creatively crafted communications.
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Marketing Digital Strategy & IT, the Manager will lead designers, video producers and outside agencies (creative/freelance and PR), producing high-quality work that builds the HARTING brand reputation in the market and clearly communicates our strategic focus and positioning. In understanding the importance of visual storytelling, the Manager will lead the team in the creation of assets of all types (presentations, speech narratives, video) to bring the HARTING Americas story to an audience ranging from internal board stakeholders to key markets.
With our ever-evolving industrial connectivity solutions and B2B customers in OEM and Distribution, our marketing function continues to evolve, and the Manager will provide strategic direction to effectively differentiate the company from others in the market, interpret the corporate brand for the Americas region, communicate the Americas strategy across stakeholders, and oversee and execute the creative process for tactics that require new creative design and, as needed, new content, to contribute to this evolution.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:
  • Own the HARTING brand guidelines for the Americas region, taking what is defined by Corporate and defining our visual identity for digital-first use with audiences across US, Canada, Mexico & Brazil
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product & Sales teams to supply guidance on brand positioning strategy, ensuring the HARTING brand, its identity, proof points, value proposition, pillars, and goals are clear and impactful throughout all customer-facing activities
  • Serve as primary communications partner to CEO and executive leadership in defining compelling stories that align with the overall communications strategy, and execute end-to-end communications across board presentations, internal events, speeches, thought leadership opportunities, video messages, company-wide emails, and other digital assets
  • Oversee the identification, implementation, and delivery of best-in-class marketing assets (creative, video and imagery) and video production technologies, including expansion into new virtual production areas like AR and XR
  • Responsible for production of growing number of virtual – live or on-demand – events shot from our Elgin ‘Digital Experience Center’ studio
Skills and experience to thrive in this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (degree preferred)
  • Minimum of five years experience in Marketing or Creative roles
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with experience in tools such as: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Working knowledge of modern B2B marketing tools such as: Zoom, LinkedIn, and Marketing Automation software
  • Travel up to 10% required.
