This position is responsible for providing onsite mental health support to Green County Child Advocacy Center (GCCAC) children and families and provides assessment and treatment utilizing the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) model for children who disclose maltreatment and are deemed appropriate for the therapy. The position is expected to adhere to National Children's Alliance accreditation standards as it pertains to the mental health standard as well as other standards relevant to the position. The position is also responsible for providing TF-CBT assessment and therapy for children referred by the CYF Unit or other agency/community referrals as approved by the CYF Supervisor. The position is also responsible for adhering to any grant related requirements for programming, reporting, documentation and recordkeeping. Starting salary for this position is $30.06-$33.28 depending upon qualifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned. * Responsible for attending all GCCAC forensic interviews and providing onsite mental health support as required per NCA accreditation standards. * Responsible for providing TF-CBT assessment and therapy as required per TF-CBT protocol and standards of practice for children referred via the GCCAC and other referrals approved by the CYF Supervisor. * Attend initial TF-CBT training as well as any subsequent trainings required to remain current in the TF-CBT protocol. This also includes attending trainings for other protocols that may become more current or evidenced based per NCA standards or other best practice guidelines. * Attend weekly clinical supervision and staff meetings/trainings as required to maintain legal and administrative requirements of the Mental Health Unit and TF-CBT protocol. * Maintain appropriate record keeping and documentation to include but not limited to case notes, treatment plans, reviews and assessments as required by the Mental Health Unit and TF-CBT protocol. * Participation in the Green County Abuse Prevention Team and Multi-Disciplinary Team activities to include but not limited to attending task force and MDT meetings, participating in case and peer reviews and attendance at relevant or required MDT or GCCAC trainings. * Responsible for keeping records and statistics necessary for NCA accreditation, funding and grant reporting for NCA, VOCA or other funding sources that may be relevant for program sustainability. * Participation in fund raising, awareness activities or other events or activities related to enhancing services and supports for GCCAC children and families. * After hours crisis response for the GCCAC and/or Green County Crisis Team. * Other duties as assigned by the Children, Youth and Families Unit Supervisor. Qualifications
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Master's degree in Social Work or closely related field including clinical psychotherapy training. Possession of Wisconsin MA certification and 3000 hours of supervised clinical experience. * At least two years of clinical or social services experience with children & families. * Knowledge of principals of psychotherapy and various supportive, educative and therapeutic techniques. * Ability to plan diagnosis and treatment.* Excellent communication and interviewing skills. * Knowledge and experience in computer use in a Windows environment, using Word, Excel, Publisher, and Access. * Current WI driver's license and unlimited access to reliable, insured transportation. Judgment and Situational Reasoning. * Ability to apply principles of information technology and care management organizational procedures to perform tasks. * Ability to use functional reasoning development in performing activities within systems involving diversified work required significant exercise of judgment. * Ability to use independent judgments in routine to occasionally unstable or risky situations. Physical Requirements * Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including personal computer, telephone, etc. * Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
