Selected candidate will be the Lead Contracts Manager for strategically significant proposals and contracts under the company’s Electronic Warfare (EW) Sector, Advanced Systems business enterprise, located in Clifton, NJ. The Lead Contracts Manager will be responsible for all facets of negotiation and administration of assigned contracts. Primary responsibilities include preparation of TINA compliant proposals, fact-finding, negotiation of terms and price, defeminization and award, followed by continuous interface with US Government and Prime customers throughout performance. Ability to work independently is expected in this role. Due to the nature of certain contracts, resolution of issues is often without management oversight, but rather within program channels. Position is aligned for the candidate who desires professional growth opportunities in the field of contract management and leadership.
 Primary Duties and Responsibilities 
Responsible for comprehensive review and risk assessment of business enterprise RFPs (competitive and sole source), proposal preparation consistent with US Government solicitations or US Govt. Primes. Contract negotiation, administration, and customer interface for assigned contracts/programs. Serves as the primary communication conduit between the company and the respective customers.
Identifies contractual issues; analyzes impact & ramifications; and evaluates and recommends alternative solutions consistent with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and sound business judgment. Maximize profit and cash flow while minimizing risks during contract negotiation.
Maintains in-depth familiarity of all assigned business enterprise contracts, including delivery and milestone commitments, intellectual property terms, profit/fee, change control and restrictive clauses.
Ensures that business enterprise compiles and maintains all required contractual records and documents in accordance with procurement regulations and company policies. Serves as the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts. 
As the business enterprise Contracts Lead, the select candidate must be able to work independently on contractual issues, including technical scope and design changes. Ability to clearly articulate contractual issues and strategies for resolution to broad audience, inclusive of executive leadership.
Ability to multi-task and determine priorities while working on various assignments. Dedication to meet customer deadlines. Work closely with Program Mgt., Finance, Business Development and Engineering to ensure a cohesive team for contract execution.
Ability to deal with difficult customers on programmatic issues and engage in negotiation and resolution in a constructive and respectful manner.
 Qualifications: 
Requires comprehensive level of job area knowledge typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Minimum of 7 years of prior related CM experience with FAR, DFARS & TINA compliance.
Demonstrated negotiation acumen and judgement, including role as lead negotiator to a program or project team, offering tactics and strategy to achieve goals; Cost/price trade-offs; SOW assumptions. Maintaining composure and mutual respect with customers.
Must possess strong interpersonal, analytical, written and presentation communication skills. Essential knowledge, skills and experience required for effective contract management to include negotiation and regular communication with customers and executive management.
Must have an active DOD Security Clearance
 Preferred Additional: 
Advanced education within the discipline or MBA
NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc.) are a strong plus.
