Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Host. As a Host/Host, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for our guests. Your role will involve greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon arrival
- Manage the reservation system and ensure accurate seating arrangements
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Provide information about daily specials, promotions, and menu items
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner
- Assist with various tasks to support the overall restaurant operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Basic knowledge of food service and hospitality industry practices
- Strong phone etiquette skills
