Basil Thai and Sushi Bar opened September 5th, 2012 at 1401 Newcastle Street in historic Brunswick Ga. The promise was to bring upscale Thai Fusion dining to the downtown Brunswick area, leading the way in the renovation and emerging cultural renaissance of the downtown district.

Basil offers traditional Thai cuisine including favorites such as Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice and Thai Curry as well as fusion fare such as Steak and Lobster, Sizzling Duck and Roasted Pork Tenderloin. In addition, Basil has a full Sushi Bar that includes popular staples such as the California Roll, Crunchy Roll and, of course, the Brunswick Roll!

As a Host, you play a direct role in greeting and seating guests, placing both togo and catering orders and supporting your fellow team members.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work , 15 hours per week.
• Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
• Lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time are physical aspects of this position.
• Knowledge of opentable and HotSauce POS is helpful but not mandatory.
• Experience is not needed but prefer. We are willing to train you for the position.
• Having transportation and reliable way to get to work on time.
• High School Student preferred

Essential Functions: The essential functions of this position are listed below and are representative of the work done by employees in these positions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements:

• Welcoming guests with a warm greeting and sending off with a sincere thank you.
• Handling all reservations, special request, confirmations and communicating these with the staff and mngmt team.
• Assists other employees/staff with facility tasks as needed.
• Answering the phone and handling all togo orders, as well as catering orders.
• Maintains the entry of the restaurant and togo area.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Pay: $9.25 - $10.00 per hour
