Harper Leavitt Engineering is Hiring a Land Surveyor Near Idaho Falls, ID

HLE, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm with offices in Blackfoot and Idaho Falls, Idaho, is currently seeking an experienced surveyor.

Job Description

This position will be responsible for determining precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas and contours for construction, mapmaking, land divisions and titles.

This position is open until filled. This is a full time position.

Qualifications

Candidate should have NO LESS than THREE years of relevant experience performing the following task efficiently.

  • Research for boundary surveys, ALTA/ASCM Land Title Surveys, Topographic surveys, Utility surveys.
  • Determine methods and procedures for establishing or re-establishing survey control and the collection of survey data.

-Maintain accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performance. -Coordinate findings of work with office staff or other as needed. -Responsible for job specific quality system tasks.

  • Complete each job as necessitated by budget constraints without making multiple trips.
  • Construction Staking
  • Down/Upload data, bring points into Civil 3D, together with manipulation of points, along with necessary drafting such that an engineer/licensed surveyor can complete legal analysis and survey plat.
  • Calculate preliminary coordinates for surveys along with final calculations for lot surveys.
  • Random drug test may be required.
  • Must be capable of working on your own in the field at a fast pace.

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a good record, be in excellent health capable of navigating difficult terrain as necessitated by various projects.
