Harmony Homes For Healing in Fairfield, CA is a Housing Services Provider that works with housing insecure veterans, mothers with babies, domestic violence survivors and adults in recovery. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Housing Program Coordinator will provide daily supervision, coordination, and management of daily activities at all assigned Bridge Housing Locations. The incumbent will support the Housing Program Director in promoting effective HH4H community relations activities, positive residential interaction, professional functioning and adherence to the rules and expectations of the HH4H housing program. In addition, provide on call support to residents when needed and must live within a 45-minute radius of assigned HH4H locations.

Housing Program Director

General Duties:

    *Use a strengths-based, trauma-informed care and a collaborative approach with residents and other program participants. *Treat all residents, participants, guests, staff, collaterals, vendors, contractors, and volunteers with kindness, courtesy and respect. *Maintain excellent boundaries, a high degree of confidentiality and ethical behavior, and always adhere to all HIPPA regulations. *Use language translation services, accordingly, as described in contractual agreements to ensure clear and accurate communication. *Document and communicate effectively with the Housing Navigation team to ensure continuity of services. *Ensure that each resident’s emergency and basic needs are met upon entry and during the entirety of their stay. *Participate in all company, staff, and supervision meetings and maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of resources for essential, programmatic, and supportive services, including but not limited to best practices, trauma informed care, strength-based approaches and other modalities, via third party training. *Prepare and submit Serious Incident Reports to the Housing Program Director(s). *Initiate non-violent crisis prevention/ intervention when necessary and apply de-escalation and safety skills and techniques during responses. Initiate calls to 911 or the 24/7 Behavioral Crisis team, as outlined in program policies and procedures. *Develop positive, productive, and collaborative relationships with families, while upholding guidelines, rules, and behavioral expectations. *Submit maintenance or supply requests as needed for residents. *Practice self-care and seek support as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

    *Welcome and greet all new residents within 24 hours of entry, and provide a thorough orientation/review to the program rules and requirements. *Assist Housing Program Director with overseeing the day-to-day management, reporting, and coordination of operations; oversee chores rotation and maintenance of residential cleanliness and sanitation, acquire food, manage communal kitchen schedules. *Routinely monitor documentation and ensure adherence to HH4H documentation standards, maintain daily log and other HH4H related recordkeeping systems. *Work collaboratively with supervisor and maintenance staff to establish and/or maintain schedule of complete routine walkthroughs of all residential locations and serve as back up to maintenance when they are not able to complete walk throughs. *Work collaboratively with Housing Program Director, maintenance, and other staff to coordinate the preparation and cleaning out of units for participants entering and exiting HH4H homes. *Manage the ordering and inventory of household/program supplies and maintain stock and accessibility of all supplies, including power outage supplies. *Work collaboratively with supervisor and food pantry program staff regarding the acquisition of food, diapers, wipes, and other necessities and ensure pantries remain stocked with essentials and for the removal of all expired items. Arrange introduction and tour of food pantry and resource center for participants. *Ensure a welcoming environment and maintain the highest quality of standards for the overall health, safety, security, participation/inclusion, and well-being of residents and work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that standards are being met. *Provide necessary equipment and supplies for residents to maintain the cleanliness of their own room and common areas. Ensure all common areas are cleaned daily. All units must be thoroughly cleaned upon a family’s departure and provisions for removal of trash from rooms/units must be made and communicated to residents. *Abide by all organizational policies regarding safety, boundaries, strict confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.

Requirements:

    *Healthy boundaries are a MUST. *High school diploma/GED required, with preference given to candidates pursuing or holding a BS in a related field. *Residential experience and/or direct experience in providing services to persons/families experiencing homelessness, trauma, and/or substance use preferred. *Personal qualities and skills: good interpersonal and communication skills orally and in writing, initiative, positive attitude, non-judgmental, empathetic, compassionate, accountable, resourceful, good time management and organizational ability, good judgment, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and crises and prioritize, ability to work with a diverse population, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Prior experience with substance use or homelessness required, preferably having two years of experience in the field or lived experience with substance use or homelessness. *Reliable attendance and punctual reporting of work required. *Previous training in crisis prevention/intervention strongly desired (i.e., CPI or equivalent). *Valid driver’s license preferred. *Bilingual, multicultural, and candidates with lived experience/expertise are encouraged to apply. *CPR/First Aid Certification required, or shortly upon hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to: operate a motor vehicle; climb stairs; possess good communication skills; meet the requirements of the classification and have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed. Capable of the following extended activities: standing, sitting, climbing stairs. Capable of the following intermittent activities: lifting 25 pounds or more and bending in the performance of infrequently performed office duties.
