Description of Role:

HHMC & FRC is seeking experience Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who will promote and maintain our patient’s health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. The desired schedule for these roles would be a 4x10, 8am - 7pm schedule.

Essential Functions:

• Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients, as well as patients being seen for follow-up appointments.
• Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.
• Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health-related issues.
• Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience.
• Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health-related questions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employee practice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Medical License (Required)
• Valid DEA Certificate (Required)
• Board Certified/Board Eligible (Preferred)
• Valid BLS, ACLS, or PALS Certification (Required)
• Up to date immunizations for Hep B, Tdap, and COVID-19
• Overall knowledge of medical office patient care
• Knowledge of confidentiality issues involved with release of medical information
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills including ability to interact with staff and providers at other medical facilities
