We have an immediate opening for a Quality Inspection Technician with the below responsibilities:
- Receives and unloads incoming materials.
- Compares quantities on packing slip to actual receipt and to purchase order.
- Oversees all functions of the Receiving Inspection area for non-RMA product.
- Inspects incoming materials for conformance to specifications
- Accuracy in record keeping for items received
- Accuracy in record keeping for products to be returned to vendor
- Development of Receiving area through continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office Based Programs
- Capable of operating a forklift and powered hand truck
- Ability to read and understand measurements and tolerances
- 6 months experience in quality management systems (inspections) including use of measurement tools
- 6 months or more experience in receiving, warehouse, packing or production
- Experience with ERP/MRP tools
- Experience with or knowledge of metal and fabricated components
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints/drawings
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Solid computer (data entry, typing) and basic Microsoft Office applications skills
- Skilled in using calibrated measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
- Familiarity with computer aided measurement tools such as a CMM
- Time management skills
- Independent priority setting
- Detail oriented
