About the Role

The Marketing Assistant/Coordinator intern position will work part-time to support the Marketing department of our HARMAN business unit in our primary and administrative duties around campaign management, budgeting, vendor relationships, event logistics and project coordination.


What You Will Do

  • Be responsible for daily administrative tasks to help ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
  • Support marketing executive and team members in organizing various projects
  • Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
  • Assist organizing of team managers in the successful development and execution of promotional campaigns, marketing events, asset development and digital content development in order to facilitate their success
  • Help prepare, proofread and deliver sales and internal presentations
  • Communicate and work with internal stakeholders to coordinate reviews, collect input and help drive cross-company activities aligned with marketing programs, plans and campaigns
  • Work with global teams as well as with other HARMAN business units

What You Need

  • Candidate should be a Marketing, Communications or Public Relations student at a college or university. Prefer students who are sophomores or above
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • If student has previous Marketing experience as an intern, that would be preferrable
  • Strong or emerging knowledge of marketing stack, digital marketing and foundational marketing skill set including demand generation, social media, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint as well as comfort level with any Marketing Automation or Social Media platforms. Salesforce knowledge a plus
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

What Makes You Eligible

  • Ability to work remotely or one day in the office
  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide part time (20 hour max) work availability from April 2024 through June 2024
