Harbor is Hiring a Remote Director of Project Management Office (PMO)

Harbor is seeking a Director of Project Management Office to join our growing team. The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) leads the Intapp Solution line’s project management function. The Director of PMO will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all projects within the Intapp Practice, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, optimizing project processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement that revolves around our clients. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills to drive efficiency and effectiveness across all project initiatives and creates a client centric approach. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement PMO strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define project priorities, resource allocation, and budgetary considerations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the project management function.

Project Governance:

  • Establish project governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects.
  • Define project roles and responsibilities, escalation procedures, and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to assess performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Build Project and client satisfaction metrics to pinpoint improvement and success areas. 

Resource Management:

  • Lead the allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support project execution.
  • Optimize resource utilization and capacity planning to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain career path strategy, develop, and retain top project management professionals.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project performance and success.
  • Implement robust project tracking and reporting mechanisms to provide timely insights to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports and dashboards to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management among project teams.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains 50% billable utilization.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a PMO or similar function.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Lean) and tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and driving organizational change.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
