MAD Security Services is seeking a new Patrol Driver to join the team! The Patrol Driver ensures the protection and safety of the assigned detail. This includes the premises, patrons, employees, and assets. The Patrol Driver will adopt a preventive mindset to detect, deter, observe, and report with the utmost vigilance. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities.
  • Inspects property and monitors crowds.
  • Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
  • After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
  • Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
  • Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
  • Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
  • Remains aware of your surroundings, alert, and observant at all times while on duty.
  • Follows requirements, post orders, and direction of supervisors and management.
  • Responds quickly and correctly during emergencies using proper judgement.
  • Inspects all entry and exit points of assigned detail.
  • Investigates incidents and customer complaints and completes accurate reports to document the incident.
  • Interacts with and assists clients and patrons as necessary in a professional manner.
  • Effective and prompt ongoing communication with internal staff members and customers.
  • Responsible for possession of valid guard card and any permits required to be in their possession at all times.
  • Must maintain all training, permits, and qualifications required by the BSIS.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Guard card required
  • 32 hours of credentials completed
  • Current driver’s license required
  • Clean driving record required
  • Previous experience a plus, but not required
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
  • Authoritative verbal communication skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to write reports in a professional manner
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
  • Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting while driving a vehicle.
