HarbisonWalker International is Hiring an Electronic and Control Supervisor Near Vandalia, MO

  • Supervising and coordinating electrical and controls activity, preventive and predictive maintenance and procedures for HarbisonWalker International’s manufacturing plant in support of the maintenance excellence program as it relates from an electrical and controls standpoint.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the electrical equipment and parts at HarbisonWalker manufacturing plant; administering computerized maintenance management software database.
  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring preventive, predictive, planned and emergency maintenance work requests for electrical work.
  • Supporting the HarbisonWalker Business System (HBS) including 5S and participating in and implementing plant cost reduction programs.
  • Working with multidiscipline team to identify and record product quality problems by; initiating action to prevent product non-conformity; recommending and initiating product quality solutions; verifying implementation of quality solutions; controlling the processing, delivery, and/or installation of non-conforming product until solution is implemented.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Supervisor, Electronics is responsible for insuring electrical and controls activity is performing optimally at HarbisonWalker International’s manufacturing plant. The Supv, Electronics is also responsible for maintenance excellence from an electrical and controls standpoint, improving the overall electrical and controls process and for developing and maintaining work standards within the HarbisonWalker Business Systems (HBS) criteria.
  • Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time talking or hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing, walking and / or sitting; and less than 1/3 of time using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling; and/or tasting/smelling.
  • Lifting: Requires lifting sometimes in excess of 100 pounds less than 1/3 of time.
  • Vision: Requires accurate close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Environment: Requires 1/3 to 2/3 of time working near moving mechanical parts and less than 1/3 of time exposed to fumes or airborne particles, working with explosives, in an office setting, working in high, precarious places, exposed to outdoor weather, extreme heat, vibration, and/or the risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise: Requires exposure to moderate noise.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
  • B.S. degree in related field such as but not limited to Electrical and/or Controls Engineering.
  • Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and Oracle ERP.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles .
  • Proficient in various PLCs and programming, electrical and controls diagrams and drawings and electrical codes (i.e. NFPA and NEMA standards).
  • The Supervisor, Electronics requires four (4) – six (6) years of manufacturing or industrial electrical experience.
