Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!Lunar Permanence: This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will perform as a Structures and Mechanisms (S&M) subsystem-focused technical project manager (TPM). Products within the S&M subsystem that you will support include vehicle primary and secondary structures, landing and launch vehicle separation mechanisms, crew and cargo support mechanisms, and thrust vector control. The subsystem TPM is a critical role in managing subsystem schedule and cost expenditure relative to budget across multiple S&M products simultaneously. The TPM will also engage heavily across other Blue Origin functional groups, including Supply Chain, Test, Operations, and Manufacturing to enable engineering designers and analysts to procure, manufacture, assemble, test, and deliver their hardware. A primary function of the TPM is to increase accountability both within and external to the team to help drive high performance standards. The Structures and Mechanisms subsystem is a hardware-delivery focused subsystem and the TPM is expected to have relevant hardware experience.Relocation is provided to any one of Blue Origin's offices around the continental United States, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Huntsville, Denver, Reston, Phoenix, or Cape Canaveral. Interviews for this position will include a technical assessment of project management skills as well as fundamental spacecraft structures and mechanisms understanding.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Author, maintain, and configuration control subsystem-level product schedules for multiple parallel projects.Track and report on cost expenditures, help adjudicate supplier costs for reasonableness, and develop cost forecasting.Track hardware release, procurement, delivery.Execute hardware procurement and supplier consulting agreements.Coordinate with other functional units within Blue Origin to enable hardware manufacturing and test.Develop product execution plans in a ticket-based system that tie to schedule deliverables.Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles.Minimum QualificationsExperience in hardware procurement and interacting with suppliers.Five or more years of experience in aircraft or spacecraft engineering.Five or more years of experience in Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience in computer aided design (CAD) and product lifecycle management applications.Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical fieldMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred QualificationsExperience with manned spaceflight systemsExperience with spacecraft structures and mechanismsCompensation range for on site CO applicants is $84,150-$117,810Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $91,800-$128,520Compensation range for on site CA applicants is $91,800-$128,520Other site ranges may differInclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
